How thick would a sheet of arylic have to be to hold back water on a 400-500 gallon fish tank that is two feet deep?
The length will change it a bit, but somewhere around the 1/2" to 3/4" range. You'd get less bowing with 3/4".

Curious if this piece of glass would be useful:

108" x 42" x 3/4"
If it is tempered, then it would be hard to use. If it isn't, then you can cut it and make a pretty decent tank out of it.

I'm looking to build a 200 gallon acrylic tank that would be 48'' x 36 x 27. Would there be too much bowing with 1/2 inch thick acrylic?
