Petsmart mystery fish

Grabbed this little guy at around 1.5" a couple months back. Had it listed as Red Devil, it had all the Dempsey pushed into a corner. Seems like some Syn/texas/???. Has a greenish sheen to the body with a rosy throat area sometimes, with red/blue speckled fins and some blue pearling out back. It's pushing 4" mark now. Seems to run the tank. It's in with a Red Devil, Texas, GT, and Convict in my 180. Seems pretty chummy with my male RD.

Nice looking fish , it could be syn/mayan it'll be Interesting to see how it turns out especially being your dominant fish of the tank its colours should really pop

It is not syn x Mayan/syn x Texas. If it fades, it's a kkp, possible skkp. And if it doesn't fade, it'll just be an unfaded kkp.

I could be wrong, but I picked up my barred midas from a local petland discounts store, who also sold it to me as a red devil, Either way nice looking fish! Congrats!
