I have a smaller artificial light along with natural sunlight do you think that would be good?

No water changes after adding the safestart. It will bring ammonia down. Test your water fr a couple of days. I wouldnt do any wc for atleast a week unless amonia is rising which it shouldnt


Good advice by coryloach but since your using safestsrt the wc would be counter porductive

A supplemental light may be worth a try for a few hours in the middle of the day when the light through the window is also brightest. If you see any signs of algae, back down the light duration of the artificial light. You can set it on 6hrs a day lets say and see from there.

I also added an airpump what do you guys think? I also put in safestart. Ammonia oevels seem to be dropping

You'll have better luck with fast growing sub tropical emergent plants(bog plants) mixed with a few species of floating plants....

See how it goes in the next week. I'd remove any yellow or melting leaves also. They won't recover.

Clip the dying leaves stems off with a scissor

There are many leaves whos rips are melting some plants every leaf is like that i should cut off the whole leaf?
