Thank you bro! I gave half of it to a Mexican family that I was staying with in Mexico on the trip. Froze the rest and fried/grilled it up later! Couple pieces were snacks for the bichirs!

New PBs for me for length and weight, both set in one weekend.
Longest fish: 36-37" Lake Trout (15-16 lbs) caught off my boat.
Heaviest fish: 30-32" Channel Catfish (20-22 lbs) caught on my pier.

30"+ steelhead on 4lb test line in Oregon in 2000.
I've landed larger saltwater species, but this large steelhead on ultralight gear was just epic! It finally gave one last effort thrash which broke the line, about 2 feet away from me, and I had to go into the water and grabbed it by the tail to land it

broke this last weekend with an 18" channel. Hoping to brake that record today.

My biggest fish was a carp, got a picture somewhere, but im 6'3" an in the picture I am holding it and the tail is slightly below my belt and the mouth is about 6 or so inches above my head. Took 15 minutes to get it in, I thought I hooked into a huge summer rainbow (buzzkill).
Its all about the fight, whether its a 15min with a carp or 15min with a rainbow......its still a 15min rush
Does it count if I drop a hook into my own fish tank and fish it out? JOKE!

I rented the fishing rod, bought bait, license at nearby fish shop at the pier (I'm just fish for fun when I got a mood for fishing...once in few years...)
