Welcome to MonsterFishKeepers.com

The members of this forum have come together to share our knowledge and experiences of fish keeping. We want to answer your questions, offer advice and fill the galleries with pictures of the fish we have all grown to love.

We are a unique community of Fish Keepers who seriously take our hobby to extremes and the NEXT level. The majority of our fish collections include RARE & EXOTIC Species of all sizes, BIG FISH with BIG APPETITES and BIG TANKS. I live in a tropical country, and snakeheads are legal here, but since they're banned in the U.S. I don't know where else to buy. So I want to buy a fish which is similar to your stereotypical snakead - breathes air, voracious appetite, quick breeder e.t.c. I'd like a fish with those characterists. As well as those above, I'd like the fish to:

      -Be decently priced.
      -Have sharp teeth.
      -Be aggressive
-Grow to about 2 feet long or more.

      Any fish come to mind?

One that survives in a tropical climate. It gets quite hot here. I like the Bowfin, but not the fish I'm looking for.

Bowfin is going to be the closest thing to a snakehead you are gonna get.
