There is no "baddest" there is a strongest cichlid but not a most aggressive. I just gave away a JACK DEMPSEY. YES A JACK DEMPSEY who would have killed my jaguar and oscar if I had left them for another 30 minutes. Yes it was a one in a hundred thing to get that psycho dempsey so any fish can be hyper aggressive but In bulkiest and toughest I'd say an oscar they are like big they can take a beating and they can give one if provoked
Oscars are very underestimated in my opinion in sheer bulk and muscle a full grown oscar can physically overpower almost any other cichlid obviously that doesn't mean they win a fight because their jaws aren't as strong as other cichlids
Dovii spawning, and I had a super high strong red devil he was a beast just nasty, but def a Dovii hands down in my book!
people who think oscars are nasty have never heard of a Dovii, an umbee or a red devil.
Definitely not the meanest cichlid I've owned, but he can get pretty nasty...
