Flowerhorn breeding question...

I have had these 2 flowerhorns for over a year now. Growth is stunted due to not having the necessary tank space for each fish. Female is 2.5 inches male is about 4 inches. Please don't judge me, I get it I should've only bought them when I was ready before hand. Now that I have tanks freed up and space, will I be able to breed the two even though they are this size? Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

Before you try breeding please make sure the female reach maturity also it layed eggs atleast once. If it already layed means you can try this pair. I hope it turns successful pair. All the best.
