I am looking to build an acrylic tank with measurements 6 feet long by 4 feet in width and 3 feet in height. What thickness of acrylic should be used. Too make this hold up for years.
Just like too know what kind and what is the best material to hold this thing together. I heard that weld on is good from many posts. Just wondering what peoples views are on this product.
Also it will be a saltwater tank as well.

I would go no less than 3/4" and preferably 1" with braces in all corners. Similar to my build.

Make sure to use "cast" acrylic sheets.
Weld-on works good.

My tank is 6x4x2 and I used 1/2" acrylic. most people will say that is too thin for that size of a tank. All I can say to that is I am going on year #4 and move #2 with zero crazing of the acrylic and zero bowing on any of the viewing panels.

It can be done, you just need to be very patient and pay attention to detail.
