1 chamber sump refugium

Mainly because I'm too sloppy/lazy to make baffles. The skimmer is an Eshopps skimmer that can be hung on the back of the tank as well as submerged, which i will have hanging on the sump. The pump is an eheim compact 2000, inside the refugium and straight back up to the reef. Bad idea?

Sounds like you'll be just fine, you may have micro unbowed being fed back into the tank and you may have to clean the return pump more often, but it should work just fine

I have one compartment for my sump that has everything (skimmers, ceramic media, pump, heaters, grow light) and mine works just fine.

Ended up making 2 chambers, 1 small chamber for the skimmer, return and media reactor. My pump has a built in sponge to block microbubbles.
