What is ideal temp for them?

Would 81-82 be ok with extra oxygen

Also I've heard they aren't too hardy but hoping it would thrive with my vatf, 2 motoro rays, bichir and 6 silver dollars

The one I'm looking at is 9 inches .... So with the slightly larger size then a baby I can get a hardier fish

IDK about ideal. 81-82 F sound ok.

I've just got my second tig a couple of months ago. It's been at 85F-89F. Eating well, growing well. Aeration in its tank is superb though.

Yeah, smaller tigs may be touchy but adults are usually rather hardy, I'd say. Less hardy though than the usual large Pims like RTC and TSN.

Tigs like water a bit cooler. And lots of water movement especially when small. Once they get 12" or so you should be in the clear temp and food wise
