What is this?

I think I have a case of Hexamita. I got me some Metro from a Vet. near the house. He sold me some 250mg tablets. I crushed six of them and threw them in the tank, I'll continue to treat for three days and see what happens.

I never had Hexamita before, am I doing this right?

It's more effective if fish ingest it.

Along with the metro, I would soak pellets or freeze dried food in an 3% epsom salt solution and feed exclusively for 5 days. You could also add some of the crushed metro to the epsom salt soaked food. See instructions for epsom solution here:
