Red dovii??? (Xanthic dovii)

I wouldn't expect to see 100% red offspring. The fader type coloration doesn't follow simple Mendelian genetics. It's not an on or off type of trait.

Yes, history in the making my friend. Maybe in less than 1 year, we´ll see. I´ll post something whenever i have made arrangements with somebody to send fry to the States.

This is definitely History in the Making! I don't care if they are fader or red or green, fact is no one and I mean no one has had a Dovii that Is completely different then the blue in an Aquaria!

This is a huge deal IMO. Hold on to these guys unless you are given big bucks!!! Plain and simple. Again thank Mauricio for these super rare new Dovii!!!

very interesting read and awesome pictures. i would
love to get my hands on some red doviis and even willing
to import them em in. had this happen & i knew about it
while i was in costa rica i would've 100% brought some
for sure. will be expecting updates from you CRDovii CRDovii
to see how things turn out.
