Hello me and a friend are building a 620 gallon 8x4x3 tank with 3 55 gallon drums as filtration and are struggling to find a decent pump for a reasonable price. We are wondering if a pond pump would be cheaper. What does everyone run for there ponds

I don't know if you already went ahead and purchased a pump, but if your looking for cheap. I would look into the tetra submersible pond pumps they are affordable and get somewhere near the flow your looking for. Personally I would look into a reeflo hammerhead/barracuda because they are inline which would prevent as much heat transfer. Also they are extremely low wattage for the gphs your looking for. Hope I could help.
