Gday folks,

I'm having a problem with algae in my 700gal pond. I've tried Barley extract without any real effect. Just chasing any ideas on slowing it down.

I've got a few predators (Mangrove jack, Jungle Perch, Peacock Bass) in the pond (nutrients) and it gets a bit of sunlight so I know that encourages it, but is there any way to slow it down?

Here's a little clip that gives an idea of how bad it is (apologies, I've also posted this in the "other monster fish" section)

If your problem is algae, why don't you try to put fish that eats algae? There's so many types of fish algae eater you can found in local pet stores. Other than that, you can also use pond dye as this aquatic colorants have the power to reduce the growth of algae in the pond. To have broad information about this, you may want to read this article: http://www.ponddye.com/blog/benefits-using-pond-colorant/
