In my current house, i'd build an 8foot tank that would fit in my garage and fill it with things like oscars, arrowanas, massive silver dollars and other cichlids.

When I get a house I want nothing more than to have giant tank in the living room. Thinking 10ft x 5ft x 5ft. I just don't know how in the world I would siphon the sand haha.

10x14x4 tank when I buy a house. If I wait till I buy a house I can build it right in place and never move it

I still like the idea of water proofing the entire basement, sealing the floor joists from below, moving all the utility upstairs and then building a viewing area in the middle of the basement that gives a 360 degree view of your basement tank.
