Thanks everyone who has helped with my 3 55 barrels set up, my last issue on my 320 is where the holes are drilled, in the center of the sides. I was going to run both these as drains but not sure about making a wall to protect the stand pipe. Also if I do it's going to take a lot more space then if it was in the corner. I'll post a couple pics. I have a couple ideas, I would just run a strainer at the bottom of I can figure out how to stop the drain if the power goes out. Also thought of running an elbow on the bulk head and reroute the pipe to the corner. Would cover with sand and small rocks. I also have no problem blocking the holes and running a DIY overflow like Joey did on you tube with the black paint. Let me know your ideas.

IN A PLACE
If you are going to aquascape with gravel/sand/rocks I think your 90* elbow will be the easiest option.

Im not going to do any real aquascaping just pool filter sand which I could go as deep as needed. Was going to use the small rocks so my ray doesnt get nicked on the pipe. I was going to paint it black, do I have to have a wall for the stand pipe?

Also the bulk head opening is only 1 1/4" so the pipes will only be 1" openings, will 2 1" drains allow my tank to turn over 8-10 times an hour? If not ill probably go with the diy pvc overflow

I ordered some clear pvc piping for my new 330 gallon diy plywood aquarium so that its not an eye sore like yours that might be an option for you if you want it to look better or even black pvc might make it easier to hid behind something like driftwood or something. Hope this helps!

Never seen clear pvc I'll check it out. At this point I'm more concerned if the 2 1" drains are going to be enough because if not I'm going with a DIY overflow

Cool yeah 1 inch is quite small but you'd be supprised how much they can handle. Had a 180 myself with the same mess hand me down from a friend had crazy holes all over the bottom of it. So I put bulkheads in all of them and then threaded caps for each as well. Then covered the entire bottom with 3" of sand. Covered um right up. Make sure you thread tape your caps fyi. Then built my own overflow system also to allow enough flow and filtering cycles per hour I ran a 2k gallons per hour pump had plenty of return to circulate the tank. Also used an external pump with a flow controller on it so it was more accessible. Hope this helps you out.
