Possibly switching to ATF/Paraya.

I'm thinking of using my 150g for a grow out. I have the resources for a larger tank, but I don't have the living space currently. I've read some of the excellent stickies, but I wouldn't mind some opinions on the following...

1. Could I get a solid 2-2.5 years out of a 150. I'm assuming any acquisitions would be pretty small.

2. What would be the ideal mixture of atf and Paraya. Thinking temperament/growth rate/hopefully not trying to snack on each out her

3. Best dithers? I see a lot of recommendations for silver dollars. Anyone prefer something else?

You could get that time frame out of Hydrocynus forskahlii and Hydrolycus tatauaia/scomberoides. Any other members of this group would need larger tanks in about a year.

I prefer tinfoil barbs for dithers with ATF, especially for training.

I currently have 1 FATF called flash (9.5") and 1 tat called Mr Fang (10.5"). They've been together for about 5 months now. Not much has happened except that flash blinded Mr fang in one eye lol. And I think this happened because the tat was introduced later on. Personally I think this wouldn't have happened if they both were introduced together. Here is a pic:

This. Rapps is an absolutely wonderful supplier as well, but he may not be as accurate on ID for ATF as the others.
