I may be quite wrong but manatees are strictly protected in the states. I am dubious one can be bought, let alone fed for life unless the keeper is made of money.

JL, correct me if I am wrong but I am guessing these photos must have been made at SeaWorld.
Imagine how much one would cost or the trouble someone could be in for actually having one.
You're wrong. I assure you those photos were not made at Sea World. Anyone has been at Sea World in the past or recently can attest to it
