Dead Piranha

So I get home from work today and my biggest 1.5-2 inch piranha is dead. I have 3 other piranha in the tank and there just fine. I checked the water and everything looks fine. The dead piranha as no bite marks and was eating just fine yesterday, so I'm so confused on how he died?! Does this just happen in fish, they just up and die? What should I look for in my other fish?
