Dovii.. It will out grow the 150 eventuall but they are bad ass and will give you a good excuse to upgrade to a bigger tank.
How many time does it take before a dovii outgrows a 150 gallon aproximatively ? and compared to a umbee, will they both outgrow the 150?

A male will eventually out grow a 150 in a couple years.. Maybe faster depending on feeding and warer quality.

festae are great, I love my pair, lots of work though. they can be very moody with their mates. I'd say it really comes down to wether or not you can upgrade in the future. if you can, go with either a dovii or umbee pair. If you can't then stick to trimacs, RTM, jag, midas, and i am a big fan of nasties.

I know midas have been mentioned, its a testament to how good of a choice they are....here is my old midas solo in my 6x1.5 150.....he was nearly 14.5 inches long......fearless and very interactive......

and if you are thinking about a species pair...my Red tiger motaguense are living comfortably in my 150 currently....always out in the open....

Nice RTM's. These are and always will be one of my favorite cichlids and your pair is a stunning example!

I've literally just had this choice to make in my 150gal (same dimensions) and originally went with a GT, then a pair of Jags and have finally settled on a single Vieja Argentea , stunning fish and much more intereactive than the others were , definately worth a look and they are naturally herbivores so easier to put in tankmates/dithers
