just wondering if anyone keeps there marbles at a higher temp...

reason im asking is that im thinking that my tank temp might raise
due to the fact that my filters are outside so when temps hit the 90's
even with the house being 72-74 degrees. today's temp hit mid 80's
and tank temp is up to 84 degrees

A vendor told me that the locals in Columbia said shalow waters where rays are found hit the mid 90s and most of us keep rays at to low of temps.

I think honestly mid to upper 80's are fine. Rays are actually quite resilient and can tolerate a wide range of conditions. I'm currently trying approaching 86 without any issues. Kind of testing the waters so to speak. I normally run around 80-82. I have found that the higher the temp, more O2 required, and also much higher metabolism and hunger. Rays seem to feed a little harder at the higher temp.

O2 should not be an issue but i will keep an eye out,,, i figured higher temps would be ok due to the fact of where they come from. i am just looking to see what others think.. i appreciate the the thoughts.
