So I'm starting up a 25 gallon nano reef tank.
24x12x20 and I'm trying to decide which powerheads to buy. Right now I'm looking at two Hydor Koralia Nano Aquarium Circulation Pump, 240's one on each side of the tank on different timers to simulate the tide. Would these be too big? Too small? Any other good brands you guys like ?

It might be a bit much but if you play with the configuration you should find something which works. I used hydors before and was happy with them, just never used the controller. Are you able to tone down the flow with the Hydor controller? Jebao is another popular choice.

Yeah, I was planning on a controller as well. According to the description you can adjust flow, as well as timing and alternating between powerheads. So I'd do two powerheads one on each side of the tank. And alternate the flow from one to the other.

I'll have to look into Jebao as well.
