I have the marineland 220 with the black silicone and I have zero complaints man. Knock on wood . I've had for about 6 months now . Silicone bead is nice and even its solid.

My Allglass 220 is now just over 10 years old and has been moved across the country after the first three years. It was dry for about 7 months.
The tank is solid

I'm a big fan of the black silicone on the Marineland tanks. If Aqueon would make that "standard", I'd probably own more of their brand tanks. I do overlook it when Petco or Petsmart has their "dollar per gallon sale". Just snagged a 75 gallon Aqueon a couple of weeks ago.

300 gallon Deep Dimension - Marineland
265 gallon - Marineland
75 gallon - Marineland
75 gallon - Aqueon
55 gallon - Aqueon
40 gallon - Aqueon

LOL....yeah, you could say that.

Yep. Sounds about right. I think that extra foot of glass really adds to the price. I think we paid about $1250 for the 265 gallon Marineland tank about 4 months ago. Different stores in our area have different prices because they use different suppliers....so it might be worth checking around to other stores, if possible. We saved $300 on our 265 gallon tank, stand, and lids combo by price shopping all the surrounding fish stores.

Both are good to go but i have heard of problems with the marineland DD. When I decided not to go with a huge acrylic I shopped around and will see what I can dig up. A store in south jersey has great prices, and the best deal I got was actually from Pedro.

I ended up with an Aqueon 180 with black silicone.
