Do you have a photo of the fish in question to post ? Vent looks male.

Why a picture of the fish out if the water? Festae are relatively easy to visually sex with just a regular picture of the fish in the tank. In the above pic the colors are way too stressed to accurately tell.

In water would be ideal, as stated previously above. Imy still saying male by the looks of it, but really need to see it unstressed and colored up.

The one in front was sold to me as a male, the one behind it is a female. The search for a male continues... their separated now...
