Hey fellas never posted in this section before but I have had this pleco for almost a year and was wondering what kind it is? Bought it as a chocolate pleco.

I love this fish, it's actually one of my favorite fish. It eats everything as well as a great algae cleaner and is always begging for food. It's always out and barley hides. Just a great all around fish. He's about a good 6 to 7 inch and has beautiful fins. Even if just a common pleco I really have a liking to this guy.

Appreciate the help on the I.D

It is an albino chocolate pleco/common pleco- these were man made. One way to look at them is a poor man's albino . When I was first introduced to them back in the early 90's, they were being sold as a red eye red plecos. Some actually have red eyes while others do no not.

It's a Pterygoplichthys pardalis (L021,L023). Although the same, I doubt (in my own mind) it will get up to 2 feet like the plain version. The biggest one I had was 15 inches. They tend to be a little more shy. Out of the 15 or so I've owned, 1 or 2 were outgoing.
