I don't know what people call this type in US or other contry, In korea, people say "skeleton" for this type
they have translucent scale.

It looks like a normal Polypterus Beutikofferi. Unless I'm missed something in your photos.

So your saying the odd coloration is caused by the lack of part of the eye? That's an interesting fish. Have you seen more than just this specimen? Would love to see how this little guy develops

I saw some more this type of fish in other sepcies like gold fish and piranha but its first to me see a bichir in this type
