Funky tank!

180 gal , 20 gal sump tank. Eihem pro canister, Penn Plax Cascade 1500, weekly 25% water changes.
stock:
2 x 3" peacock bass
1 x 4 " sail fin plec
1 x 7" common plec
1 x 2" bn plec
1 x 5" ornate birch
1 x 7" Lap birch
1 x 7" silver Aro
2 x 3" hapolo cats
1 x 3" rapheal cat
1 x 12" rope fish
1 x 2" severum

My tank is smelling up the house! Water params are good! I just dosed with Rid-x last water change.. Didn't help.. Though it has only been dosed once, so far.. Any tips?

Try doing 50 percent water changes every other day until the smell goes away. Your stocked pretty aggressively and I think your under filtered for the amount of fish.

Old school...Activated Carbon do a fine job to eliminate the smelling.

The fish are all pretty small though.. Won't 50% changes every other day hurt my Bio colonies?

Yeah, I'm not running any carbon.. maybe I should toss some in

Over feeding and feeding frozen fish like lance fish will also stink up the place. Fast the tank for a day or two and see if the smell improves

Hmmm, I feed pellets and tilapia fillets, raw shrimp and dried shrimp.. Maybe I will fast the tank for a few... Thx

No it won't discus keepers sometimes do 100% a day. You just need to dechlorinate water properly.
