Hi all,

I was thinking it would be cool to start a log of my little GT and track his progress as he grows. I took a few nice shots with my camera the other day and posted them. I will repost here. I also took a few with my iPhone today.

I will update this once in awhile with progress or any nice new pics.

I took a video today too of the little pig eating but I am too tired to upload it now.

Anyways, hope you enjoy!

PS - cant believe the colour change from the pic of him at the LFS!

Very nice transformation from a dull and drab looking LFS GT to a vibrant looking loved pet.
Kudos to you as well for taking good care and for the nice photography skills too,. Keep it coming.

Thank you for the kind words! Looking forward to taking more pics!

Me too buddy. Going to try 30-50% weekly water changes and lots of food. I know they grow relatively slowly so hopefully that'll help.

Thanks! He/she (not quite sure yet but leaning towards he) is about 3" long. Still a little wee one!

Hmm already something to ask about...

Today, for some strange reason, he is spitting the pellets out. I have exclusively been feeding him these pellets (omega one colour) and he goes crazy for them. I am probably feeding him too much, especially judging by the amount he is crapping lately....its like a constant stream of crap lol.

Anyways, is he just being overfed and picky?

I will try not feeding him tomorrow and then trying again on Monday. Otherwise, color is fine and behaviour is normal.

The two rivs I tried to grow out were the pickiest eaters I've come across. However, one of them was sick. But the other one was just being a brat.

Mine were fed mostly prawns, but variety is key.
Bloodworm, various pellets even shelled peas were eaten.
Try not to rely on just one food type.
It does sound like your over feeding. Small amounts more often is better than 1 or 2 large feeds.
I always miss a day where I gave them nothing.
Variety and large water changes will give you healthy growth rates.

Great thanks guys. I won't feed him today and will give some bloodworms tomorrow as a treat then resume pellets. But less lol.
