Petsmart Red Texas

Why not give this one a try? Went in for some neon for a neon tetra tank I have and found this gal. This one petsmart in my area has a huge variety of fish including cichlids. Much more than most. I'm assuming its female as the males in the tank got pretty excited over it. These are pics right after introduction. Hopefully few weeks it will start looking better. If interested I'll keep an update here over time.

I see no issue buying fish that you like from any store, although sometimes people dont advise buying from huge chains... I think its fine

It looks like Texas X Redhead... Atm wouldnt say high quality but it could turn out cool... Red Tex are awesome if they get bright red with white pearls... Never could find any near me though

I've seen a few Petsmart red Texas that turned out to be stunners.

That's more of a red head than a red Texas.

I can't decide if I want to keep this one or not.
Do any of you have any ideas on what I might expect out of it? Is it a fader? Should I expect it to possibly fade all red?
I believe it is most like a syn hybrid as well. Not sure it has any texas in it either?

My petsmart don't have crap! I wish we did but we don't. Those are two very nice RT.

Looking great. Mine stopped carrying them. Wish they still did.
