I should add, they are not super fast growers but will need a larger tank, if a female tank mates can be an option. usually not for a male. 125g do fine for a female, 145 or better for a male.

I see no use for either unless fish is having issues.

Update.....

Well I took the advice given and updated the new guy's diggs. Also got a few pics of him.
Feedback always appreciated. I'm on the hunt for some branches to put in there.

you may want to keep a VERY close watch on the PH.....Pavers , brick or concrete are highly alkaline unless seasoned - your PH could experience ridiculous raises like maybe over 9.0 or more. A cinder block has a PH around 11-12

Good man.

put them in a bucket of water outside for a year or so

Don't forget to check your PH now.....even though you took them out. WC might be necessary depending on how long you had them in there.

Won't lie, I use bricks and stuff like that, but it's always old as dirt.
