Sounds about like mine two behaved. Brave. Graceful. Sweet pickup.

I'm sure this is a mucosus but boy do I want to be shown wrong.

That's a shame, are they that rare, not been available to you again?
How predatory where yours as mine is in with some Odessa and giant danio and Cory's ATM...
Really like this guy, might grab a few more while they are available.

I was hoping for malarmo but in hindsight I had no shot. They all appear to be mucosus.

So I have not bought the few I came across over the last 5 years. They are rarely offered. Not super rare. Perhaps 1-2 times a year I hear of them for sale.

I've never had anything they could prey on / fit in their mouth with them. So you'll know better.

Probably adjusting.

Mine were not fussy. I made no special effort to feed them. Threw in a variety of foods for everyone in 120 gal, which was about 100 fish of 50 different kinds - pellets, flakes, cut fish, shrimp etc. They were not gluttonous IIRC but neither gave me any problems.

I'm getting fuzzy but IIRC they preferred meaty foods - fish, shrimp, etc.

One can trust a Pimelodus pictus catfish in a koi pond. For one. Cory come to mind too. Or a full grown RTC with full grown arapaimas and pacu. You continue... ;)
