If drillimg was an option i wouldnt of started this thread lol

My question is do you think 2.....1.5 inch pvc overflow would handle the pump rate?......or should i go less?

Yup, I was actually referencing nzafi and his option for internal overflow.

If you have room for 1.5, then I would go for that. But to be honest 1.5" with full siphon would not be your bottleneck. Are you concerned with aesthetics. You could consider 1.25?

1-1/2" overflows will not cut it. 1-1/2" PVC SCH40 flows 840gph if only assisted by gravity. Unless you build the modded overflow by "The king of DIY" you will have to build 2 - 2" over flows which will flow up to 1500gph EACH

That is true.....i almost feel safer making a diy overflow box instead
This would be my choice if I were in your position. I modded a CPR overflow for my drip system because I could not drill my sump. Opposite concept but I feel like I can make a better box than an overflow. The pvc overflows have been nothing but trouble for me. Likely a me issue in how I set it up but that bad taste stays with you after a couple attempts
