I usually get them from Walmart or any fishing stores.

My local bait shop usually offers large quantity of crawlers. 100 and 500 count packages. However, don't waste your time counting them. Counts are an approximation, worms are sold by weight. If they don't, ask them if they can order them for you.
I heard about uncle Jim's worm farm and I ordered a 500 count crawler bag from them a couple weeks ago. Half of them were dead in the bag, and they were very very small. Smaller than red wiggles. They mainly sell baby worms for composting purposes. If you want to buy a large quantity of baby worms and grow them up and make a breeding colony that would be the route to go.
