Adding pups to DT

At what age/size do you guys add your pups from the holding tank/sump to the display tank with the adult rays?

I wait until they are eating pellets as the adults do.I would not want to try getting a special food to just them. I have had no problem putting pups in with the adults. They tend to spend a lot of time atop the bigger rays. I do keep a close eye on them at first. So far no issues.

If it is a newley acquired ray I wait until 8"
If it is a pup from my own rays I have put them in as small as 5" but I make sure they are very hungry feeders first and even then keep a very close eye on things

Definitely would assume feeding is the most important. If you think a pup won't be able compete for food then don't put him in

Around the 6" mark. Maybe earlier if they are super aggressive eaters. Just make sure you cut the food up to the right size for the smaller guys.
