Some good hybrid sunfish are bluegill x green sunfish and redear sunfish x green sunfish . They grow bigger than bluegill and fight like catfish. In my experiments bluegill x green sunfish grew 3x faster than pure bluegill and reached greater adult size. A couple drum may work too

I'd still go with a channel cat to eat some of the smaller bluegill, I would also only do one grass carp as they eat a ton, I would then add a good predator or 3 to eat the smaller bluegills, feeding leftover foods like bread, low fat dog foods,deli chicken, cooked pasta, can help

Actually it was one of the diets that got the best results in pond,however those foods were maybe 25 percent of the fishes total diet.

I am not feeding in the pond either, the bluegill took off with spawning and now there's a ton of them. As for the school build, I will post a few pics in a second (I am there now)

Here's a few pics from today. We have the 10 gallon, but someone literally added pure ammonia to it (was originally filled with pre cycled water from the 60 gallon) trying to cycle some other tanks (there are a few others that aren't mine around it, this is one of the science rooms) so I just gave up on it and set up the 5 gallon hex. I'm going to start off with a dwarf cuttlefish, I'm making sure everything is perfect and then I'll order one

Oh yeah, when I got there this morning there was a brand new Bentley in the lot. 2-week paper tags and all...
