that's a great looking specimen. I used to keep them years ago. Such an underrated species that fits well into 4 foot tanks for life.

BTW the Sal in the background is nice as well

Thanks, do you think these two are male or female? I got them at the same time. Growth has been exactly the same, and they look identical. Definitely the same sex.

Here is another pic of the sal. She is bigger 4-5". Very mellow fish, and not shy at all.

The Sal is female but I can't positively sex the Deppi but I would guess male just by head and fin shape
That is what I'm thinking. Thanks!

These F1 seem much less aggressive than the other one I had.

every fish has a different personality. I have female sal that I keep with Angelfish without any issues. She's the boss and the others know it

This is so true. I have male firemouth that is much more aggressive than the salvini and Deppii. He rules the tank.
