Would betta fish make a suitable feeder fish, assuming it was raised and not store bought? I know goldfish are unsuitable. I have some bichirs and wolves I wouldn't mind supplementing with some live snacks :p

Why would you breed betta as feeder stock? It's growth rate is slow and only breed like 1 time a year per female. If you want to breed your own live feeder stock then use Convict.

Yeah I have a bunch of betta fry. I plan on growing them out a bit and keeping a few of the better looking ones. The rest I'll give away or make curu snacks.

The convicts is a good idea, this was my first attempt at breeding fish. I got a spare 55 I might turn into a convict brothel. ;p
