Recently got these two fish. b.vaillantii via discus origins and vulture from another seller
Recently sold some stock to make room. Vulture cat eats whatever I give. But vaillantii I have yet to see eat..been in the new setup for a week almost. Any keepers of this species with care tips would greatly be appreciated

The first pic is not a vaillantii but likely a Propimelodus species. The last could be but it's too heavily distorted in the bag.

It's the same fish. That's not good if that the case. I bought him from Mark at discus origins. I know there is a lot of confusion around this fish but I would really hope this is vaillanti.

Just looked propimelodus up on pc and this fish doesn't look like them to me. Lost at this point. I've kept other bracy species but never a vaillanti so I have no idea

Hmm.So how big does this propimlodus get? I knew some of the confusion with vaillanti before I purchased but didn't think it was this wild. The fish in question in the top link body looks similar but the head and mouth on mine is wider. I'll get some more pics tonight. Biggerthebetter do you still have yours? Btw my fish is 7 or 8in right now.
