Its more something the lungfish wont pick on. They will usually take a bite out of anything that gets close enough

If we were talking about African lungfish I would agree however I have found SA lungfish to be extremely docile

So I may have stumbled onto getting an elong to do solo 6-7" I know plants may be difficult since they are kind of insane but still.

I would say you have about a 20% it will work lol...if u stick with anubias, java fern ect on the driftwood shouldnt be bad

planted gar tank isnt a bad idea. looks nice too ive had a
6x6x19" planted with floridas,cubans and tropicals. looked
sweet and no issues with plants either.

If ur doing gars might as well add orinos or kels too
but that ruins the whole planted gar tank lol xD but
then its up to the op so who am i to say anything lol
