I know the rays of caudal fins grow back if you cut them flush, but I'm wondering if I cut the top of a dorsal fin, will THOSE rays/spines grow back too? Is it all rays/spines on all fins or since the dorsal is harder bony-like structure while the other fins are mostly softer and flexible may differ in regeneration?

I see it most often in outdoor(mostly game)fishes, they never regrow dorsal spines,or any other calcified fin parts(like catfish pectoral spines)

Yes. I was agreeing with the post directly above me.

I got a few lulz out of it,it reminded me of the Family Guy episode when Peter's Mom was dating Tom Tucker and they were getting fast food and Tom asked Peter if he wanted a Happy meal and Peter said "No" and Tom was like "Do you really mean yes?" lol
