You can fill the cartridge with some other media like ceramic ring or Eheim substrat pro.

By taking out all the carbon at once, it wouldn't affect the bio level in your filter system unless you are saying your only media is carbon.

I tried to feed them prawn from the supermarket but seemingly, it don't want to eat.

If possible, I will want hair algae to grow on my driftwood. It create a very natural look in your aquarium but of coz, my Semaprochilodus taeniurus will keep them in check.;)

You could tie a piece of those weigh which people use for fishing. Tie a few pieces to let it sink then after tat, once it sank, then remove all the weighs.

For my case, those wood I am using didn't contribute much to the lowering of PH but had tannish my water colour instead and I quite like its effect.:naughty:

Does anyone there keeping fire eel? What does it eat? I am keeping one now but don't seem to eat anything. LFS recommended bloodworm but I can't feed bloodworm as it dirty the tank water easily. Is there any other recommendation?

Usually hobbist will keep their fish indoor with minimum contact of light. If put outdoor or expose to sunlight, fishes don't actually can take the flustruation of temperature drop during the day and in the night. But of coz different country has different temperature differences. Maybe you will...

Bro, try tanning with an Ocean Sun light tube. This light tube will give a kelvin of 10k which is able to tan your fish. Try it if your country is available.
