good lookin tank... got a fts?

I got a garden hose from home depot long enough to reach from my kitchen sink to the tanks, and the tanks to my sliding door on the other side of the living room. I also got an adapter to hook the hose to the kitchen sink. To start, I'll stick the hose from my siphon/gravel vac into the garden...

I was leaning towards a Midas, just have to figure out where to get one. I live in a small town, and the selection of ca/sa cichlids is slim.

Never really been a fan of birchirs. I don't think there's anything wrong with them, just don't interest me. I'd like some kind of big cichlid that will be interactive when I'm near the tank... not necessarily banging the glass, but not just swimming around.

Good suggestion... For some reason I thought they weren't legal in FL though? Keep 'em comin.

What substrate do you use? My old 350 used to get a little sand in the impeller and make a lot of noise.

i'm not huge into pallet furniture, but this came out really cool. I would add a strip around the bottom so the feet don't show, but that's just person preference.

I have a black bg/black diamond sand in my 55 with severum/spotted sd/ebjd and the sev is super dark and washed out. I just set up my 210 mixed african tank with pfs and a black bg and i love it.

i haven't kept them personally, but Fish-Heads Aquatics here in Ocala always have great discus in stock. Wild caught, captive bread, and all different varieties.
