young cichlids I feed 3x daily just small amounts each time. I also use high quality food. Water being kept in pristine condition is a must as well. As for your 10 gallon, cons will be to large for that in no time. If its just a grow out tank then disregard that statement lol
I couldn't say for sure. I have a Gold Diamond Rhom, Red Bellies, Elongatus, and a Piraya. All get routine water changes as "F1 VET" said, all deserve good water quality
