Is this hard to do or just impossible??

It will work if you add more than one fish. Changing the decor may help also.

    Life of having a pleco

I've allways had Plecos. They're essential to keeping the glass crystal clear of algea and picking up left overs around the tank. This may help your poop problem; Don't focus on feeding the Pleco. They will find food left over from their tank mates and it keeps them hungry for algea where...

    Least aggressive Vieja

Thats a tuff one. C.Carpintis are pretty docile. As C.A.s go. There are types that only fight with each other and leave other tank mates alone. C. Carpintis is one of them. Melanarus are pretty chill also.

    Geos and Discus?

It can be done, sure. But Discus do best by themselves. Make sure the Discus are a hell of alot bigger than the Geos. Just to give em a fighting chance. Since the Geos will eat most of the Discus food you will find yourself feeding more to accomodate them. And this in return will spoil the...

    Oscar food

An Oscar your size will love scallops. The small ones. And cut them in halves or fours. Pellets are staple yet boring.

    What is this?

It's a mix. Definetely not a JD. Looks like there's some Convict in him. Is it a thrill guessing what kind of fish you have? Or would you rather have a pure Cichlid and try to raise it based on the facts rather than playing the guessing game throughout the fishes life. Honestly, just...

The first fish is not a Carpintis. It's a regular Cyanoguttatum. A classic Texas Cichlid. Still a good looking jv with lots of potential.

If u had to start all over again

I'm always starting all over again. That's the best thing about this hobby. Getting bored of Central Americans move to Africans. Tired of South Americans try Pygos. Angels, Discus and so on.

    Ich outbreak! Wish me luck!

Congrats to those of you who have been successful in the fight against ick. But don't sleep on this parasite. Some outbreaks are so lame your fish can fight them off with their immune system alone. However, I've witnessed outbreaks that were fast and relentless. Completely covering fish...
