Nice set up, a canister filter would give you cleaner look.

i used safe-t-sorb for substrate for my 240 gallon. 40lb bag cost 7.99 and it took 3 bags the only problem with safe-t-sorb is that it dirty and you really have to rinse it well before putting in the tank. You can buy it from tractor supply store

another suggestion would be for you to remove the bubblers as they remove the natural CO2 from the water faster. Also try to prevent any water agitation on the surface of the water. I made these changes and my plants grew much faster.
