    What is it?

It won't matter...I imagine he'll be returning them to the store asap now that it's been confirmed that they're not festae. Too bad, I was hoping to get a female from him once he got a pair from the group.

    What is it?

This is a friend's fish, not my own. He picked up six of them from an LFS, labeled as "red terrors". He's hoping they're festae, but I know there are a couple species that look almost identical as juveniles. I have no idea how to tell them apart though, so I'm enlisting help. What species is...

    Abalios

Got four of these guys from Marius not too long ago...there is now only three, as someone in the tank decided to rip the face off of the fourth within the first week  But whoever it was seems to have no problem with the other three. These pics are just of the dominant boy, he's the only...

    Pheno

Again, the pics are very dark on these, but you get the jist. Getting more speckles steadily...I think he looks funny, like someone splattered a pair of jeans with bleach or something, lol. But he's my baby, I love him. He's much happier now that the fryeri male has been...

    One of the Neolamps

Some pics of my brichardi. These guys live in a 33gal species tank. It started with the pair of adults, and the rest of the colony are their children. Right now I think there's about 20 of them in total. These are the two adults, though some of the kids are almost as big as they are now. Pics...

    Dark and dangerous

Ha, only kind of. The pics are very dark (and not the greatest), but the whole point was to get pics that show off her colour as I see it every day, not altered by the flash. As for dangerous...well, she probably could be when she wants to be ;)

    Neolamps

The leleupi are one of the most common Lake Tang cichlids in the hobby, right up there with brichardi because of their colouring. Very vibrant for Tangs. And the cylindricus are, in my experience, a little more uncommon, yes.

    Visualize the madness

Lol I'll try to get some pics of the abalios today. They're not really anything special yet, only about 4" in size, but they're cute. Vixen is a female Vieja/Paratheraps fenestratus, very pretty little thing. Thanks for the comments all. I try to keep my tanks pristine, yes, lol. I also try to...

    Neolamps

Got some decent shots of my leleupi and especially the cylindricus juvies today. I love them both, but the cylindricus in particular look awesome I think with the black and white and then the blue trim on the fins...so pretty.

    Visualize the madness

    Ugh, no. Don't like 'em.

    Visualize the madness

By madness, I mean my cichlid obsession of course. I have just spent the last like two hours updating the "my tanks" section over on a certain very large cichlid site, and since I went around taking pics of all my tanks tonight, I thought you all might like a visual of my madness. Sorry, the...

    Chester

My mean SOB of a gold severum male, who I absolutely adore even though I shouldn't. Finding tankmates that he plays well with has been a real challenge. He's seriously the most aggressive severum I've ever seen. The only one I've ever seen that will actually attack my finger when it comes near...

    Talon

Huh? He can see his reflection off the glass sometimes if the lighting is right...not through it obviously, there's nothing through the glass to reflect it.

    Talon

Lol hell no. The anger is an attractive quality, it's why I love them so much. A not-angry Midas is disappointing ;)

    Talon

Talon was very angry at his reflection tonight, he looks pretty hot all flared up.

    Maverik

Maverik is my new EBJD from Jeff Rapps...got him from a friend just last weekend. He's quite friendly... And his training is coming along swimingly. Maverik, wave hello to all the nice people.

    OB blue

Love this little guy...he's about 3.5" now.

    Fishy measles

Well not actually of course, but that's what he reminds me of right now, lol.

    Vixen

    Thanks. She's about 10".
