Not yet. The plants have only been in there for a few days and i´m looking for some vallisneria to add to it. He digs alot but i´m hoping he will leave the plants alone :) fingers crossed. Full tank shot soon (but i have been lazy and not done anything about the aquascaping)

Here is my first Flowerhorn, had him in a small tank at work (elementary school) but I took him home this week as he had outgrown the small tank. He has a 200L tank of his own (55G), except for 4x bristlenoses. Will take them out if he gets too aggressive towards them. He is just over 5"...

once again... i know how a BGK looks like, this was not an aba aba, elephant nose or what not... This was a BGK with a dorsal fin! :) Maybe its a new Apteronotus species, or some kind of morph... But it looks just like the BGK.

No the fin wasnt long, just an extra fin on top :) I should have taken a photo... Here is a 1min photoshop to explain where and how the extra fin looked like:

I saw a few in a LFS here in Iceland yesterday, was very surprised. I have owned a "normal" BGK before and was about to post a thread about this hi-fin BGK when i saw this thread. Didnt take any pics but they were 2-3" and costs the same as normal BGK go for here in Iceland. Very interesting...

I didnt see them lay the eggs but im pretty sure the bottom one is the male as he had his thing he uses to fertilize the eggs out (dont know the english term) when i came home from work. Their color have changed alot since they spawned, will try to take some pictures soon.

well they spawned this morning so i guess i have a pair :D
