    Severums and frontosa?

I have found consistency with pH is they key to happy fish. Letting it fluctuate trying to reach a set pH can be worse than being a few points off. Some fish won't color up as well if they are too far off all the time.

Can anyone help identify this fish?

I have 6 or 7 jewels in with 12 inch oscars. They have some spunk to them. They get a super bright red when they are happy. The males and females get different spangling patterns and turn different shades of red.

    Canister filter for a 75

It's come time to upgrade the filtration on my 75 gallon. Currently I'm running an emperor 400, I think it's a penguin single bio wheel and a Fluval 306. I have two 12+ inch oscars, a 12 inch pleco and probably 7 or 8 jewels. I'm tired of the noise. I want to put another canister on it and...

advice on filters for a 120 freshwater

The two oscars are both about 12 inches long. The one which is mostly red is notably bigger. There is maybe 10-15 jewels in there and a 10 or 11 inch pleco. I've had the oscars, pleco and the parent jewels for roughly 2.5 years. the oscars were only 3 inches then. I've decided on a 1 1/2"...

advice on filters for a 120 freshwater

I currently have a 75 gallon with two 12 inch oscars. I have been keeping fish for a while now, but I have never had a drilled tank. I found a bare 120 gallon with twin overflows and each box has two holes. One hole on each side measures 1 3/4" and the other measures 1 1/2". My question is with...

Anyone run 2 canisters in series?

Just my own theorys but feel free to correct me. In line wouldn't be as efficient as them separate because the second one wouldn't be receiving the same concentration of ammonia nitrates and so forth. Your filtering the water before you filter the water. The first filter would begin to clog...

    my new blue catfish

I live in South Carolina and you can get blues and channel cat for 5-10 bucks for 2-3 inches or I can go catch them up the street. Caught a 75 lb one a few years back. They get monstrous and will eat everything usually. Anything short of a small pond won't hold these monsters. Both are really...

Recent pic of my oscars, Diva and Red

They are about 11.5 inches now. They live in a 75 gallon with a pair of jewels and about 20 baby jewels that are about to hit 1.5 inches. They get fed a varied diet of pellets, flakes, gut loaded feeders, crawdads, bugs and pieces of shrimp. Plus whatever I think they may eat. They had a...
