Yeah I thought so apparently the tank they came from was run down to hell. Just done a large water change, unfortunately they are in the main tank but I have de wormed them before introduction.
They already look alot better then they did yesterday and both are super chunky and healthy looking.
I picked up some additional loach to add to my hoard of 15. The big one is 8 inch plus I would say bigger and the smaller about 6inch. Both as you can see hear have sores on there nose and a few split fins.
What is this is this just due to poor water quality in there old tank. Or is it...
At present I have 2 canisters on the tank an eheim 2217 and some cheap and cheerful canister. Yeah 2000lph would be perfect but gather the only single unit filter that can do that literage are the FX series ?
I was looking at the fluval FX range but due to limited space can not fit one under my tank. My current fliters probably run around 500l an hour and tank is 400l.
I want something to do over 1500l an hour.
Any help will be much appreciated
Little update all loach other than one have stopped twitching and the last one is really slowihg down hopefully they are on the mend. Any ideas how often I can use stearazine
Cheers RD much much appreciated. I have found a clown loach safe fluke medicine from water life called sterazine once I have removed the mefalix I will look to dose with that. Regarding levamisole it's very difficult to get in the UK unless you are a farmer I believe.
Looked for the hex food struggli g to find it in the UK. Regarding symptoms twitching and head whacking on the hard surfaces thought it was white spot originally also have a jag cichlid showing similar symptoms.
My group of 10 plus clowns have been a bit twitchy recently which I believe is a type of internal parasite. Tank is 400l and water is kept clean introduced some new loach recently which may have been a host. I don't like to use meds on my loach as they don't do to well with normal fish meds...
I have read that royals can live in fairly warm water has anyone kept these fish together? When it comes to clowns I am a pro but never kept royals any experience with them I would be keen to hear.
I would of snapped it up if I would of seen it. A shop I have visited in the South East informed me he can get 15 inch ones quite easily but in excess of £250. Will be getting one in the new year hopefully
They are beasts I have a pack of 15 biggest.being 10 inch. How old do you recon they are? Also where did you get them are they wild caught at that size? What are they currently eating aswell. Sorry for the all the Qs I have a bit of a loach obsession haha
Pretty sure this isn't a pictus due to its size must be 6 or 7 inch. Plus I've got a group of pictus in another tank which I've had for many years and the largest is like 5 inch max. Any info be greatly appreciated.
