thanks for the info. Hope you have a lot of fun with your new addition - iguanas are fun as long as you can provide a huge amount of space.

    Any other gecko lovers?!

Is it just me or is this tank incredibly low? Usually, crested geckos really like to climb, which is why people use tanks which have more vertical space... Also, if you plan on breeding them or just keeping him together with a mate, consider getting at least two females because crestie males...

My Little Red Wolves are da bomb!

Comgratulations to your awesome additions. I have got mine when he was about the same size as yours. 2 years later he is definitely bigger than 10 inch and absolutely awesome in terms of color and behaviour. I wouldn't keep him with other fish though, because nothing grows where he bites. I keep...

    Hamm, Germany Reptile Expo...

Just look at the numerous print publications and the care related articles in the US and Germany. There is quite a difference in style of housing and sense for keeping. I am not taking sides which is best, but for myself I definitely prefer the more naturalistic approach

    World Wide Beautiful/Rare/Unique Fish

The "star tortoise" is called Geoclemys hamiltoni. They can get fairly large and are really aggressive towards other turtles and fish. Nevertheless they look awesome! Sent from my iPad using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

    short tail opossum

They are quite strictly nocturnal and don't get really tame, but besides that, they are fun. Feed it a lot of insects, worms and fruit and he'll be happy. If you get offered a pair be careful, because sometimes you have to keep them in separate enclosures.

    freshwater prawn

I am a big fan of Macrobrachium as well. I have a species that reproduces in freshwater (not all Macrobrachium do that)and I can even keep them together with my turtles. The main thing is that they need a larger than averagely used tank for inverts.

    Breeding!

Of course when it comes to keeping reptiles as a hobby, keeping the species younlove comes first. But when you want to startba (small scale) business like the thread starter this is mostly not recommended. Forexample: i am one of maybe five people in Europe who breed Mesoclemmys raniceps...

    Breeding!

I am not sure if this is really a good idea. Here in Austria, "regular" corn snakes can only be sold as hatchlings, nobody wants adults. And the price if you are not in a shop ranges from 10 to 30€ per animal. This can't pay for itself, because in Glasgow outside keeping for saving costs...

    Wanna see my Gecko's? *HEAVY*

Please don't take that personal, but I really don't like the american way of reptile keeping... Small tank, no natural decoration and no places to hide... Plus, feeding on superworms and mealworms, not really diverse or healthy.

    Yucatan fish field guide

Thanks for the input, guys! I have already found an app on the salt water fish of Mexico by the Audubon Society. The book by Miller et al is surely interesting, but with a price of 60€ I guess it is a little too expensive to carry around in the field... But I definitely have found...

    Yucatan fish field guide

Hey guys, I have finally booked my trip to Yucatan for next February. Does anybody of you know a good website/online resource or book that covers the fish species of the peninsula, especially cichlids? My favourite would be an ipad app, but I think it doesn't exist yet...

    Starting a reptile sanctuary.

Win the lottery. If you do it right, then you will need lots of space, time and an experienced vet, because naturally 99% of unwanted reptiles are sick and/or deformed. Rehabilitation and finding new homes for such animals is extremely difficult and sooner than you want to, you'll have a massive...

Comparison pictures of northern and southern forms of Scorpion Mud turtles

Yeah, red cheeks are really common in EU because they breed like rats. A friend of mine got rid of his group because he had over 30 hatchlings each year and didnt know where to place them.
